The main criteria for ranking models were: supported resolution, detail and color rendition, built-in acoustics quality and functionality. Next, I will briefly describe each model, list its advantages and disadvantages, and tell you what purposes it is best suited for.
LG 70UM7100
In fifth place is the 2019 model with a 70-inch VA matrix and a 4-core processor that upscales low-resolution images to 4K. LG Active HDR technology performs a similar function with video content (upscaling). Smart TV is based on the Web OS 4.5 software shell. In addition to the standard set of applications, it contains several useful options, including a background screen saver mode, scheduled on / off and recording TV programs to a USB flash drive. The LG 70UM7100 also supports LG's proprietary Smart ThinQ technology, which, in tandem with the Magic Remote, allows you to control any devices in the smart home system through the TV.

But do not expect an outstanding picture from this model: for a full HDR, the screen lacks brightness (it feels like at the level of 300 cd / m2), which is especially noticeable in daylight, and the lack of local dimming deprives dark scenes of depth. Also, when buying the LG 70UM7100, you need to understand that to create a home theater effect, you will need to connect external acoustics to the TV, since there is a corresponding audio output with support for Dolby Digital and DTS.
Samsung UE70RU7100U
Another cheap model with a large screen, the price is about 70,000 rubles. UHD Dimming, traditional for the manufacturer, creates local dimming on the screen, increasing the depth and contrast of the picture, and the compact and fast Tizen 5.0 OS provides comfortable work with the browser and Smart TV applications. Videos can be watched from the Internet (Wi-Fi connection), from external storage devices or displayed on the TV screen directly from the iPhone via the AirPlay 2 service. Another convenient option of the Samsung Smart Things system is to control any smart devices in the house using the TV.

In many respects, including the type of matrix (VA) and color depth (8 bit), Samsung and LG TVs are identical, but the picture is more juicy and contrasting.This TV is suitable not only for watching movies, but also for playing games on modern consoles - in game mode, playback occurs without blur and with minimal delays. At the same time, the peak brightness of the screen does not exceed 280 cd / m2, which is clearly not enough for HDR, and the built-in sound adequately reproduces only dialogues. Therefore, perfectionists should pay attention to more expensive models, but for a less discerning user, Samsung may be the best choice.
Sony KD-75XG8596
The top three are opened by another 75-inch TV with VA-matrix, but in terms of cost and functionality, this is already a middle-class model - 175,000 rubles. Unlike cheap competitors, the Sony screen produces an honest 120Hz with Dolby Vision support, texture detailing technology and creating intermediate frames in the video stream ("float"). The TV is equipped with the most convenient and flexible operating system - Android 7.0 (upgradable to the 8th version). There is a multifunctional remote control with separate buttons for Netflix, Google Play, from which you can install applications, and with a microphone for voice search of content. Instead of AirPlay, a more variable Chromecast is installed here - pictures and videos can be broadcast from any smartphones and tablets.

In terms of image quality, the Sony KD-75XG8596 is head and shoulders above its competitors in the budget segment. The matrix displays full HDR with a color depth of 10 bits, so the sophisticated Sony viewer will delight the realistic color reproduction. The game mode is also made at a high level - when connected to PS4, the picture is smooth, without noticeable delays. The main drawback of the TV is that the side LED backlighting is not well implemented. They tried to improve the budget acoustics with the Acoustic Multi-Audio surround sound technology, but this added low and mid frequencies to the range of reproduced sounds.
Samsung QE75Q60RAU
The next model in the middle price segment is the Samsung QE75Q60RAU QLED TV for 190,000 rubles. The main feature of this model is the Quantum HDR scaling technology, which does not easily stretch the low-resolution image, but improves it to 4K level (adds details and draws the outlines of objects), which makes it more comfortable to watch TV channels. Like the Samsung UE70RU7100U presented earlier in the rating, the Q60R model is equipped with Tizen 5.0 OS with support for controlling smart devices Smart Things and AirPlay2 integration for transferring content from an iPhone. In the presence of voice control through Alice and interior mode, which allows you to fix on the screen a static picture from a smartphone, the Internet, or an automatically generated wallpaper that matches the color scheme of the surrounding space.

The Samsung Q60R has the same VA panel as the Sony KD-75XG8596 with a 120Hz frame rate. Samsung has less color depth - 8 bits, but it is supported by HDR10 + with quantum brightness control and intelligent upscale technology (Quantum 4K). The game mode is also made at a high level: input lag does not exceed 14.6 ms - the best indicator is only for Samsung UE70RU7100U, but there is no FreeSyncVRR mode. Therefore, the price increase by 15 thousand in comparison with Sony can be considered fair.At the same time, despite the rather high price tag, the quality of the built-in acoustics still leaves much to be desired: 2 speakers of 10 W each are suitable only for watching TV programs.
LG 75SM9900
The first place in the rating is taken by the LG 75SM9900 TV with support for 8K-resolution (7680 × 4320). NanoCell technology raises the image quality of the IPS matrix to almost the level of OLED, which is achieved by dimming and highlighting certain areas of the screen. The disadvantage of this technology is excessively aggressive red and too cold green shades (this effect can be partially neutralized with presets). Smart TV is implemented on the webOS 4.5 shell with a double contextual ribbon at the bottom of the screen. There is a function of automatic ordering of applications by frequency of use, the ability to add individual YouTube channels to the quick access menu, AirPlay and other useful options. The operating system responds to user commands quickly, the browser works without braking.

The LG 75SM9900 TV has little to compare. This is one of the few models supporting 8K, which explains its high cost. The picture quality is at the maximum level for the class of this matrix (only OLED is better). The screen boasts an excellent brightness level reaching 995 cd / m2 in HDR mode. But you need to understand that the LG 75SM9900 will reveal its full potential in the coming years, when more 8K content appears on streaming services. At the moment, mainly 4K videos with upscaling are available for viewing. In addition, the LG 75SM9900 is categorically unsuitable for gaming due to its high input lag.
