In order not to disassemble the device completely, you should periodically wipe it from the outside, without bringing it to complete contamination, at which the buttons stop working. Wet wipes and cotton swabs, which are pre-soaked in alcohol solution, will help here. If it is difficult to clean the hidden areas with a stick, you can use a toothpick with a piece of cotton wool wrapped around it.

It is prohibited to wash the complete remote control under water. Trapped water can cause oxidation of the contacts, impairing the performance of the appliance.

If it ceases to function, first you need to check the quality of the batteries, which very often cause the device to fail.

If cleaning and replacing the batteries does not improve the performance of the device, you must clean the inside. If after a complete cleaning it does not work, you should purchase a new remote control to switch TV channels.
