Morphy Richards Premium Plus 502000 Bread Maker Review

Bread makers are winning the love of housewives more and more. There are hundreds of models on the market from different manufacturers, which differ in cost at times. At the same time, expensive ones sometimes do not offer any unique functionality. Today, on the review, the bread maker is optimal in terms of price / quality ratio. Reliability is backed by a world-renowned manufacturer's warranty for a period of 2 years. Compared to even more expensive competitors, it stands out with a stylish metal body and a large backlit display. What else is this model good for? A little patience and you will find out about everything, and let's start with what is on the surface, because a visual assessment is the first impression of a common user about any product.

Design and management

Morphy Richards 502000 Premium Plus

Made in the classic form factor. The stainless steel case with BPA-plastic inserts is a great design solution (beauty and reliability at the same time). On top there is a dispenser and a window for baking control. In the upper right corner of the front face there is an illuminated display and a touch panel of 4 buttons. At first, the control may not seem very convenient. But this is not the case. The list of modes with corresponding numbers is given on the top panel. To activate one of them, use the “+” and “-” buttons to display the corresponding number, select with their help the degree of fried bread from “1” to “5”, and press the start button. If you select a custom mode, additionally using the same buttons, you will need to select another baking time and temperature, and then just press start. An additional complication lies in the fact that the list of programs is given in English. However, having dealt with the translation once, problems will no longer arise, you can remember frequently used programs. On the market today there are models in a metal case, but they also cost more. Moreover, Morphy Richards Premium Plus 502000 is good not only on the outside, but also on the inside, which we will discuss next.

Baking power and weight

Moshhnost i ves vypechki

The power of Morphy Richards Premium Plus 502000 is 600W - the best option for a bread machine. The lower power models will take longer to bake the bread and sometimes will not bake large loaves. The more powerful models cannot boast of a significant acceleration in baking, increasing household electricity consumption. The baking weight can be 0.45kg, 0.675kg, 0.9kg.

Bowl volume, bowl material and coating

The Morphy Richards Premium Plus 502000 baking bowl is made of aluminum, has a high-quality non-stick coating. Its volume allows you to bake bread weighing up to 900g. The kneading blade is made of duralumin, unlike many competitors that use plastic. This is an additional argument in favor of durability and reliability.

Number of modes

Number of modes

The oven has as many as 19 programs - 15 automatic and 4 dedicated to the user for experiments and special baking. In them, you can set your own parameters for the time and temperature of baking. In case you miscalculated, there is an additional baking function.

Functional features

Functional features

The stove offers the user several convenient additional functions:

  • Choice of the degree of fried crust (5 options) - allows you to choose the color of the crust to your liking.
  • Delayed start until 12 o'clock - the model will delight you with freshly baked bread as soon as you return home. To do this, you just need to turn on the stove by activating the delayed start mode when you go to work.

In addition to bread, the model can make jam, marmalade, muffins or knead pizza flour. For convenience, a viewing window and a dispenser are provided - do not worry about additional ingredients - just put them in the appropriate tray and the oven will send them to baked goods at the right time.

Pros and cons

A lot has been said about the advantages of the model - high-quality materials, assemblies, reliability, ease of use, baking quality, many programs, including custom ones. As for the minuses, one has already been named - the name of the modes on the corpus in English. However, a large backlit display and a convenient touch panel partially neutralize this drawback. Some users also note the massiveness of the stove. It is larger and heavier than many competitors. Firstly, the breadmaker is not a device that is carried every day, and secondly, this additionally indicates the quality of materials and the minimum presence of plastic in the structure. Not suitable unless for owners of very small kitchens. I see no other objective reasons for refusing to buy this stove.
