The Dyson 360 Eye is the first robot vacuum cleaner from the conventional vacuum specialist Dyson. The development took 16 years from the engineers. The model does not disappoint fans of the brand in terms of characteristics, a set of functions and quality of cleaning. In some respects, the Dyson 360 Eye outperforms competitors in its price segment, but it also has disadvantages, which we will consider in the review.

Design

The shape of the vacuum cleaner follows the correct circle. Three color options - fuchsia, blue and gold. With a relatively small width of 23 cm, the robot has a height of 12 cm, which makes it difficult to walk under furniture.

On the top of the case there is one button for turning on the power, it also acts as a status indicator - a good and convenient design solution. In the center of the upper lid of the robot's eye there is a camera with a circular view, which helps the vacuum cleaner to navigate in the space of the house.

The side part does not have the usual side brushes, like other analogs, their work is done by the central brush made of modern materials - nylon-carbon. The width of the brush occupies the entire diameter of the vacuum cleaner, it is installed on the bottom of the device.

In addition to the brush, in the lower part there is a caterpillar drive, similar to tractor or tank tracks. This makes it easier to move the vacuum cleaner over obstacles. At the same time, the changes also affected the software part - when it gets into a difficult situation, the robot does not call the owner for help, but rotates the tracks, trying to get out of this position until the battery runs out.

Main functionality

The navigation system consists of a camera with a shooting rate of 20 frames per minute, infrared sensors. The motor of the vacuum cleaner deserves special attention, it is small in size, but at the same time it can develop power up to 100,000 rpm.

The power of the motor and the filtration system that traps bacteria and fine dust allows the vacuum cleaner to clean much more efficiently than competitors, but still it is a device for maintaining daily cleanliness, and not for general cleaning.

The waste container is large and does not clog after the first cleaning cycle. After the battery has finished charging, the robot itself returns to the base for charging. Intensive operation time is only 20 minutes, which is enough for a studio, but not enough for a large home.

For control, an application installed on a smartphone is used; programming by days of the week and a choice of the mode of movement of the device are available in it. The device has a function for unraveling from the wires, in such a situation it stops work, becomes free and continues cleaning in the same place.

On the top panel there is a dust bag full indicator. The robot is equipped with a UV lamp for surface disinfection.Can be used to collect liquid, but does not wet cleaning. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a pollution sensor that helps to identify areas in the house that require urgent cleaning.
