Design and external work items
Outwardly similar to other vacuum cleaners from the Xiaomi model line, but slightly lower than its predecessors. Another detail - there is no lidar on the body, a laser rangefinder, which protrudes inconveniently in other robots of the company. Since this detail is not available, it does not build a room map. The shape of the body follows an almost regular circle and resembles a washer. Most of the area of the vacuum cleaner is made of white matte plastic, the sides are of the same plastic, but light gray. The height of the case is small, as is the weight - 3 kg.
The build quality is high, all parts are held very firmly, there is no smell of plastic or rubber. On the top of the robot there is a button for local cleaning, on and off, charging, a sensor for determining the distance when returning to the base, a cover of the dust container. Garbage container and Wi-Fi connection indicator under the lid: slow blinking indicates network connection, steady light indicates connection. To reboot the network connection, you need to hold down and hold the local clean and charge button at the same time for 3 seconds.

First, the robot goes around the room around the perimeter, moving in each room, the program defines the walls as furniture or other interior item. Then the movement begins diagonally from wall to wall, with a delay in the most difficult places to work.
To stop the air intake process, just press any button. The robot slows down in front of objects, but even if it stumbles, the rubberized bumper will not allow damage. The robot accompanies all its actions with a notification in English.
The sound during operation is slightly lower than that of competitors, the suction power is adjustable, due to which the volume of work can also be reduced. A full battery charge is enough to clean an average two-room apartment. The device easily moves over low thresholds and obstacles, therefore it is better to remove small fragile objects from the floor before cleaning. The robot does not detect the wires as an obstacle and can get tangled.
When changing surfaces from hard to carpet, the robot automatically detects the change and increases the suction power on the carpets. Local cleaning is started by pressing a button on the body or via the app. When launched in this mode, the robot moves in a spiral, capturing a circle with a diameter of 1.2 m.
Do not use liquid detergents or wet rags to care for the robot, and the filter must not be washed under water. A special tool is used for cleaning. The sensors are cleaned with a dry cloth once a month.
Smartphone control
The robot software is installed via the Play Store or by scanning the QR code in the user manual. The name of the application is "Mi Home", it has a friendly interface. It contains video instructions for using the device. The connection to the network will work without problems if the Wi-Fi frequency is not 5 GHz. The device search is carried out automatically or in manual mode.
