The Roomba 690's shape, like most robots, is round, 33 cm in diameter and 9 cm high. It weighs 3.5 kg. The body is traditionally plastic, represented by a matte black and gray palette. In the upper part of it there is a carrying handle, three control buttons: start, local mode, installation on the base.
A soft bumper is installed on the side panel in front, protruding beyond the outline of the device, in which the sensors are built. On the back there is a blow-out hole. On the bottom are located:

They rotate towards each other, which allows you to thoroughly clean the space under the appliance. Garbage is sent to a dust collector, where it is sifted through filters so that the air goes into the room cleaned. The device has only two modes:
- Auto. The robot cleans the entire room, walking along the walls and through the rest of the space, moving along an independently compiled route.
- Local. Cleaning is performed in a separate area, where the robot must be moved manually and started. It moves in a spiral, removing the dirty stain.
Having completely completed the entire volume of work, he himself goes to the charger for recharging. You can control the robot vacuum cleaner using the buttons on the control panel, as well as a smartphone, after installing the application on it. The robot vacuum cleaner allows you to schedule cleaning. At the same time, at a given moment in time, it will turn on itself, vacuum clean and return to the base.
Unimpeded movement of the vacuum cleaner is provided by a set of "smart" sensors that help it understand the features of the room, identify obstacles in the way, height differences, find a base, and react to a virtual wall limiter. There are also sensors that allow you to determine the degree of floor contamination. It passes through the contaminated areas again in order to better clean them. The robot is equipped with an anti-confusion system, which prevents entanglement in the wires on the floor, and helps to find a way out of “problem” places (legs of chairs, tables).
The virtual wall has the ability to create a linear or circular obstacle. With its help, you can cut off part of the room from the arrival of the robot.
