Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ TV review

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ is a Full HD TV with wide viewing angles. For 22 thousand rubles you get an image of sufficient quality, 20 W sound, and a laconic design. It is worth considering that this is the cheapest TV in the manufacturer's lineup, but this is explained by the lack of Smart TV and an incomplete set of convenient functions that competitors have. Let's examine some of the features of the Panasonic TV, note the pluses in comparison with the lineup in this price niche.

This model participates in the ranking of the best TVs 43 inches.

Screen

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ

43-inch screen with D-LED technology, Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 px, the traditional format for such TVs is 16: 9. Resolution is not the best in the lineup. The closest competitors have a wider resolution, they have better elaboration of details, which cannot be overlooked when viewing. This is BBK 43LEX-6061 / UTS2C, Hyundai H-LED43U601BS2S with 4K resolution 3840x2160, many other models also benefit from these characteristics.

The LEDs are located on the sides of the liquid crystal matrix, so there are glare during viewing, but the manufacturer was able to optimize the thickness of the TV at this expense. But the image quality is sufficient for watching media files and running games on the screen. Good color brightness, smooth dynamics is also tolerable. But up to HDR10, like BBK and Hyundai, it falls short. The viewing angles of the Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ are 176 °, the refresh rate is 50 Hz.

Appearance

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ

Laconic, fits into any design thanks to thin black frames, elegant stand. It is possible to hang the TV on the wall using the VESA 200 × 200 wall mount. With a large screen, it is visually perceived as compact. The frame thickness is 7.8 mm, which is one of the best indicators in the entire line, which is good news.

Connectors

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ

The TV has a standard number of connectors, some are even outdated, but they can still be useful. The list includes:

  • antenna input (RF);
  • audio input L / R;
  • coaxial;
  • audio output (for headphones);
  • CI;
  • 2 USB;
  • composite input (AV);
  • VGA;
  • 3 HDMI.

No Ethernet (RJ-45), LAN connectivity, no WI-FI and Bluetooth support. BBK and Hyundai win against this background: here in a set of Wi-Fi, the ability to write files to external media, and Hyundai also has Miracast technology.

Sound

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ

The TV has two stereo speakers with a total power of 20 watts. The sound is clear and detailed, which adds to the realism when watching movies. In this regard, Panasonic is even ahead of its competitors, the same BBK has two speakers of 8 W each, such indicators are more typical of the described price niche.

Functions

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ

The TV is equipped with DVB-C / T / T2 and PAL / SECAM tuners to receive the terrestrial signal. A built-in media player with a user-friendly interface is responsible for playback. The sleep timer allows you to set the time for the TV to turn off automatically. Actually, that's all. The smart TV model does not support - this is a big disadvantage, because even the cheaper BBK 43LEX-6061 / UTS2C has made significant progress in this matter. BBK and Hyundai support DLNA, while Hyundai also stands out with HDMI CEC, the ability to pause TV broadcasts with TimeShift, and a PatchWall function that offers movies and programs of interest.

Advantages and disadvantages

Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ

Benefits:

  • good build quality;
  • powerful speakers;
  • laconic design;
  • sleep timer;
  • built-in media player, TV tuner.

Disadvantages:

  • no WI-FI, wired Ethernet connectivity;
  • no Smart-TV;
  • there is no Bluetooth;
  • few functions;
  • no TimeShift;
  • the image is worse than that of competitors;
  • does not support voice control.

Output

Having evaluated all the capabilities of the Panasonic TX-43DR300ZZ model, I conclude that the manufacturer has not worked out it. The main drawback - the lack of Smart-TV - has long been fixed by competitors. For a similar price, there are more interesting models, where the functionality is more, and the picture is better.

Compared to their closest competitors, Hyundai and BBK also win with their 4K resolution, DLNA, TimeShift function, and Wi-Fi. BBK loses in sound, but this difference is insignificant. I would look for better models, there are many quality options from other manufacturers.
