Edge LED backlighting on the sides of the display itself. Super high contrast is claimed due to HDR. Of the interesting solutions - Adaptive Blacklight Dimming, which dims the backlight, increases local contrast, and optimizes the black level. There is an image playback mode "Game", which reduces the delay for updating the pixel.
Appearance
This TV has a great design. Black, matte plastic. The display seems to merge into one whole with thin frames due to the backlight on the sides of the device. The bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the others; the name of the manufacturer - Panasonic is written on it in white relief letters. Everything rests on two arched legs, but can be attached to the wall, the standard of the bracket is VESA 400 × 200 mm. On the back of the TV, one block contains the audio and video input / output ports.

Equipped with the following inputs: AV, component (tulips), 2 HDMI, 2 USB, Ethernet (RJ-45) and built-in Wi-Fi module, CI + is supported per slot.
The output is possible only via an optical cable, you can output the sound to headphones (3.5 mm mini-Jack).
Sound
Acoustic system - two speakers of 10 W each (20 W in total), which provides clear, loud sound. There is a software simulation of surround sound. Sound at high volume does not cause disgusting rattling and vibration of either the speakers or the case itself. The sound is much more powerful than, for example, Thomson T49FSE1170, but our model cannot decode Dolby Digital and cannot automatically level the volume. But still, theatrical sound without an external audio system cannot be achieved on any TV.
Functions
The TV has a Smart TV on the My Home Screen 3.0 platform, which already makes it an order of magnitude better than another representative of the cheaper Full HD platform - Thomson T49FSE1170... This type of Smart TV features a minimalistic design and a convenient layout of all functions, without unnecessary "garbage" on the screen. The TimeShift function allows you to pause and rewind a stream. It is possible to record video from the screen to an external USB drive. Panasonic supports DVB-S / T2 and regular antenna / satellite cables. Besides built-in Wi-Fi, there is support for Miracast. The IP Home Network technology has been introduced, which allows you to connect the TV to the Smart Home network. There is a voice assistant. It is very convenient to view and exchange content between the TV and mobile devices, you can duplicate the screen of a mobile device to the TV screen - full DLNA support.
Advantages and disadvantages

Verdict
TV in the Full HD category is a cut above the same Thomson T49FSE1170 at least at the expense of Smart TV, if you do not take into account the higher-quality sound, a clearer, more saturated picture at a price of 4500 rubles more. Panasonic's eyes are very pleasant to perceive: a matte black color that practically does not reflect anything. This immediately betrays the severity and sophistication of Japanese design. The disadvantage is the outdated Full HD format: in 1-2 years everyone will switch to 4K Ultra HD resolution. Looking forward, TCL L50P6US or Xiaomi Mi TV 4S 50, which will remain relevant for a long time, even after the end of the Full HD era. But this TV is worth taking at least because it is a high-quality, inexpensive, Japanese TV, which has a Smart TV on board. If finances do not allow you to buy something more expensive, and the pursuit of technology is not yours, then this is definitely your choice.
