As with the entire line of eighth series TVs, the picture quality is high, but this model has mediocre contrast. In low light, blacks appear gray. This is not noticeable in bright light. When the contrast is turned off, white remains at a fairly high level, while black is very much reduced (1000: 1). In general, the contrast is below average.
