  • as a result of the closure of the heating heating element;

  7. pull the power cord out of the machine carefully;

Due to low-quality water and chemicals, the heating element is "eaten up", various impurities and scale are layered. Heat transfer is impaired, the heating element overheats and a short circuit occurs. As a result, it knocks out the counter and plugs.

To test the heater, disconnect the power cord and measure the resistance with a multimeter, setting the limit at 200 ohms. Normally, the resistance should vary from 20 to 50 ohms.

Sometimes the heating element "closes" on the body. To eliminate this cause, the outputs and grounding bolts are measured alternately for resistance. Even a small indicator of the multimeter indicates a short circuit, and this is the reason for the RCD disconnection.

  1. remove the back cover if the device is located at the back. If the heating element is in front, the control panel is first removed, then the front cover;
  2. unscrew the grounding bolt nut by about 6 turns, sink the bolt inside;
  3. pry the heating element with a screwdriver and carefully remove it;

In the process of replacing the heating element, it is impossible to tighten the nut tightly, since the heating element can be squeezed out of the tank.

Defective mains filter

The filter is necessary in order to stabilize the electrical voltage. Network fluctuations disable the node; when the washing machine is turned on, it knocks out the plugs and the RCD. In this case, the filter needs to be replaced.

The fact that the surge protector has shorted is indicated by the reflow elements on the contacts. The filter is checked by ringing the input and output wires with a multimeter.

In some models, the filter has a built-in power cord, which must also be replaced.

Engine malfunction

The reason for the short circuit of the electrical wiring of the engine occurs during prolonged operation of the device or violation of the integrity of the tank, hose. The contacts of the motor and the surface of the washing machine alternately ring, if a malfunction is detected, the motor is replaced, if possible, repaired. The place of the leak must be eliminated.

In addition, plugs or an RCD breaks out as a result of wear on the engine brushes. In this case, they are dismantled by removing the contacts from the terminals. Locations of wire damage are determined visually: carbon deposits appear on the insulating layer, darkened areas of reflow. These places require soldering and re-insulation.
