Samsung washing machine fault codes

In order to inform the user about the occurrence of any malfunctions, error codes of Samsung washing machines were integrated into the information interface. Users can correct some errors on their own, but for this the owner of the unit should know exactly what the snag is. You should not call the specialists in the field of repairing washing machines at the same time or take her to the repair center. In this publication, we will tell you about the most common breakdowns that can occur in the device and how to diagnose them. To make it easier for you, special error codes have been developed.

Samsung washing machines have their own error codes that were originally embedded in them to understand the malfunction that occurred during the operation. In the lists below you can get an idea of the faults and their codes. For ease of reading and understanding, we have divided them into target groups to make it easier for you to navigate in them.

Errors associated with the water level sensor

Errors associated with the water level sensor

Error 1E on a Samsung washing machine is caused by incorrect operation or complete failure of the water level switch, the so-called pressure switch.

Errors related to the problem of water intake

Errors related to the problem of water intake

4E

  • incorrect connection of hoses to the washing machine, replacement of hot and cold water pipes;
  • lack of tight, tight contact between the hose and the dispenser;
  • kinked or damaged hose;
  • foreign objects entering the filler valve.

4E1

  • a problem with the drying mode, namely, exceeding the water temperature threshold (over seventy degrees)
  • inattention when installing water-conducting parts, that is, replaced by hot and cold water.

4E2

  • During the delicate program, excessively hot water (more than fifty degrees) is dispensed.

Errors caused by insufficient or excessive voltage in the mains

Mains voltage problems

Uc

The display of this abbreviation signals the excess or shortage of the required voltage level of the network. The maximum voltage threshold is considered to be 268V, while the minimum is 177V. After the voltage returns to between 177 and 268 volts, the running program will continue automatically.

Errors 9E1 and 9E2

These errors have the same symptoms as the above Uc. In order to find out what voltage is in the network, you can look at the stabilizer, if you have one. If it is not there, you can measure it using a multimeter. The data should be read only when the device is turned on.

Problem with the on / off button of the washing machine

Power button problems

Error code bE1

It can be caused by pressing the control key in one position, due to deformation of the key or control panel, or the key was pressed by the user for more than 12 seconds. It is not uncommon for this problem to occur when the fixing screws are “overtightened” at the installation site of the control panel.

bE2

It informs you about the deformation of the control panel made of plastic, or about the clamping of the control element, which is responsible for turning the unit on and off for more than half a minute. As in the case of the error above, it can occur when the screws are over-tightened, at the place where the control panel is fastened.

bE3

Occurs when the relay is incorrectly connected or the integrity of the contacts is violated. On top of everything else, the relay itself is likely to short-circuit.

Malfunctions of the sunroof blocking device

Malfunctions with the UBL washing machine

door dE

  • Occurs when the door has been broken;
  • Tilting the locking hook, which is responsible for keeping the door in the closed position;
  • With a noticeable difference in pressure in the machine and the atmosphere, due to an excessive increase in temperature.

dE1

It occurs when the integrity of the wires is broken, improper installation or incorrectly selected replacement product.

Error dE2

It is quite rare among users, it is caused by overheating of the switch as a result of excessive fluctuations.

Heating Element Errors (TENA)

Heating Element Errors (TENA)

Errors NOT HE1 (H1)

  • short circuit of the electric heating element, or breakage of contact wires;
  • inoperability of the heating sensor or the heating element itself;
  • washing units provide protection against overheating of water (over 100 degrees), as well as protection against empty heating of the heating element.

HE2

In case of overheating of drying over 145 degrees, the HE2 error will be displayed. Most likely, the temperature sensor has failed and must be replaced.

HE3

Associated with the malfunctioning of the steam drying of the washing machine. This error cannot occur for users with a drum.

Error caused by broken temperature sensor

tE1

  • there is probably a malfunction in the heating element of the unit, or in violation of the integrity of the wires;
  • incorrect connection of the device or rupture of connecting wires;
  • there is no liquid in the cavity, which is necessary for the correct operation of the device or the temperature exceeds 100 degrees;

Error tE2

Appears in the absence of a tight sensor contact or as a result of the closure of the sensor contacts.

tE3

  • short circuit of the sensor;
  • missing or damaged terminal connection in the sensor;
  • getting inside the condensate sensor.
